I’m gonna give X a break for the next month and focus my social media intake only on nostr. I feel like I already know it’s going to be a healthier choice, but I really want to compare what it’s like, as I’m pretty sure X and all the other SM companies are harvesting our data to elicit emotions that are designed to make us feel unfulfilled and craving more doomscrolling.

Great decision. You wont go back 🫂🤙
I think I'm one of the few that really never took to X / Twitter. I deleted my account when they booted the sitting president and ended up coming back when Elon bought it. I mostly use it for Intel when things are happening as well as the low signal bitcoiners that haven't made it here yet. Personally I have no real relationships on X. All my relationships are based on Facebook.
still on Twitter, but deleted Facebook, IG and WhatsApp in 2018, thankfully never found out which of my childhood friends wanted to put me in a camp the last couple years.
Been doing exactly this for the last month and I am feeling much much better already. X is a brain rotting cesspool, unfortunately. There is amazing aloha signal on X, but it is a fulltime job to filter out the noise.

It does my "x" Twitter account is gone.
Facebook is the biggest harvester of information ever. 🤣 Created to harvest information to feed AI 🤖 PROJECT trends, forecasts etc Brainwashing & more But I didn’t “take” to any social media like most people. More of an eye to eye person. Online specifically to benefit others. Prefer being offline completely. Facts.
Exactly! When I share a meme I got from any other source, my friends are more likely to say they've already seen it. If I share a meme from Nostr, it's more likely to be new to them.
A month is a good break. It's enough to realize that you're not actually missing out on something valuable. It's enough to feel the effects of no algorithms on you. This is Galt's Gulch man, enjoy. 🤙

Currently figuring out Nostr after you mentioned it to me at the conference. BTW thanks for being apart of the book space with us. It was an amazing experience!
Selfishly, I hope you don't go back to X. The more time you spend outside of their platform, the more likely for your new book to come out sooner.
But isn't it just a matter of time till companies build the same thing on Nostr? Like relays that feed you addictive crap, right?
