As far as I know, airbtc hardly uses nostr. On Hostr, it’s non-custodial all the way and listings / reservations are broadcast over the network (encrypted).
Guests do not reveal their pseudonym to the public except if they leave a review, hosters are opt-in too!
This and WOT. Then we can bring the carter cities to be able to do citizenship as a spectrum. Citizenship has always been a spectrum. Nowdays moneys define who has first class citizenship, everyone who does not have enough moneys is an under privileged second class citizen - still having many freedoms, but no matter how much contribution he/she gives to the community, that person is under privileged. But in our decentralised future, with crypto WOT and zero knowledge proofs for our IDs, we can create communities with governance on the Dow, and places can discriminate according to whatever they want. Say an independent city is vegan or carnivore and won't receive people of the other diet. That's fine. You dont go there. Another city accepts people of the opposite diet but just for two months. Fine... People know the rules and abide by the rules. Same can be for hotels, restaurants, or any service or trade... We should be able to do this for our free cities and also for our supply chain when purchasing from establishment - say boycott Target, but buy from HEB... and things like that... The easier it is to boycott for a reason, the closer we get to re shaping the world. Let's go! View quoted note →
How does it work from a backend perspective? Is everything somehow hosted on relays, or is Nostr (correctly I might add) used for identity, communication, and payments?
