For Example, I grew up as a Conservative, and in some ways still am but I sought opposing information like Ron Paul's book in which he mentioned The Drug war, when I was younger I supported the war on drugs but after I read that opposing information, the fiscal, and economic stipulations made sense. Why spend money on subpar results, when all incarceration does is makes that person's life more difficult to improve, and potentially make them violent too. Drug rehab for example would be a better alternative, though again most of us are probably libertarians, or the sorts here, and while the states exist, we might as well be as utilitarian with it as possible, ensuring the best policies possible get enacted, instead of the worst ones.

To be honest, even though you say you have no interest in engaging, I admire you for continuing to bring up these topics. One of my personal goals is to be exactly like you in that way. No matter how confident I am, and no matter how much I learn, I want to always keep bringing up topics that will let me see responses from people who disagree with me. Especially people who are obviously wrong.
