Good stuff! 🚀 #ChadSaylor😎
It will be the global reserve currency too tho He will come around he lived in the highest levels of fiat system for too long
He’s an easy target for regulatory attack, 6102, etc so I think he knows he’s underselling MoE out of fear of government attacks. He’s been saying this about “currency”for a while now. Doesn’t want to be adversarial. He knows SoV is the Trojan horse for MoE. If he actually thought it wasn’t going to be a MoE, he’d be tearing apart LN, Fedi, etc, but AFAIK, he isn’t. PS His friend Eric Weiss recently said he still thinks US and China could band together to stop Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is electronic cash for me...
Saylor said they’re a bitcoin development company now. Has he donated a single sat to bitcoin development? Oh and I’d love to buy coffee down the street with bitcoin someday. That would mean the end of fiat which is the point, not all this fiat-bitcoin collateral loan bullshit. MSTR is a shitcoin with rug risk from the government he bends the knee to.
oh shit, Saylor is going to be the new "get yield on your Bitcoin" of this cycle me and Joe didn't understand a word he said about MS capital structure
When he said " we were ready to ride it to zero" it evokes warrior feelings in me. It felt like I was ready to die (financially) for the thing I believe in.
I heard that episode too. The Anti-MOE army was not on my bingo card. I don't understand how people can talk about Satoshi as if he was a god, but pretend he didn't care about MOE.
Interesting that he downplays the currency aspect so much. Probably smart positioning from a regulatory perspective, but I think the medium of exchange phase still happens in the future. Store of Value > Unit of Account > Medium of Exchange

HODLing bitcoin is good enough and is one of the most peaceful and revolutionary acts that a person can do
Yeah, I love it! They roast the beans when they receive your order. It tastes and smells delicious. I'm a big fan of their dark roast.
Saylor Academy is great, but I mean donations to Bitcoin developers or institutions such as OpenSats.
He’s been in bitcoin long enough to have made a contribution. Even if I wanted to make the coffee at home, I still want to buy it in sats instead of dirty fiat. By saying it isn’t a medium of exchange, it continues to be classified as a taxable asset. That’s what they want.
I don't know if Saylor thinks this way, but I like to distinguish between money and currency so that currency has an issuer and money does not. So in that framework he would be correct to not call it a currency.
Sure he understands a lot, "every" aspect? You'd have to be naive to think he understands "every" aspect. No one does.
MSTR is a development company to bitcoin the same way Urban developers don't build homes, they sell them.
