Thanks for bringing this to my attention. My view on the trustworthiness of voting, and even the abdication of my authority to those that countermand my wishes continue to diminish over time. But I absolutely filled this out. 🤝 I will always have to interact with the state, and I will always look for ways to minimize it's impact on my life.

surveillance, racial surveillance that promotes divide and conquer benefits gov't not the people. I've always been curious on this - isn't there an easier way then to call ? It feels so retro. If the lines are busy, how long do you have to wait ? Would the attempt of repeated tries deter people? How would we know for sure that the number of people who made the calls is an accurate number ? Do we trust the gov't?

Exhausting trying to keep the people who are supposed to represent us in check. Constant infringements little by little
Wow. This bill is so hush hush. There are two proposals on the table - one that severely limits 702 and one that greatly expands 702. There is no middle. It appears that Congress is going to quietly bundle an extension of the current FISA’s Section 702 into the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which will allow them until April 19th of 2024 to make a final decision. 📜💖

It creates a two-tier society where digital natives that are in control of their own communication equipment are less prone to surveillance than those than the non-natives that need to rely on the natives to provide it for them. I'm in the first tier so works for me.

The House is trying to attach this bill to the annual military reauthorization bill (which is popular and sure to pass)
