I'd been wanting a return to the feel of the old forum culture anyway. Nostr is like that, except without the power tripping moderator team that just gets bored and talks about things like "the elastic clause" that lets them do shit (to people) just cuz in the rules.

Can't you just put that in your user status field, on your profile? Then the relays only have to store it once, but it shows up on every note.
