⚡️🇪🇺 WATCH - ECB’s Christine Lagarde praises China’s CBDC, saying it works “for everyone.”
The European Union plans to introduce its central bank digital currency—the digital euro—in October of this year.
Christine Lagarde, head of the European Central Bank: "It is piloted on a fairly large scale in China, [where it] is of use and of service to all citizens."
"So it is not something that is good for the elite, or is good for the young, or is good for some versus others."
"If it is well done, and if it is well implemented, it would be of service to all citizens."

It's interesting seeing this video pop back up considering Lagarde just did an interview with Chinese state news and said that she started working on the Digital Euro just after her last visit to China.

This is very true. Unfortunately most people are not even aware of this big issue!! They prefer TV, sports, junk food and party.
Don't get me wrong, I do prefer TV, sports, junk food and party. I just want to do all that on my own terms..
You are a very small % of that population then.
as far as i know, i am a single person. so yeah... i'm a small % of any population!
One thing the ECB should do is allow other means of payment.
Society should make decision for itself.
You cannot decide for people - they must decide for themselves.
Translation : Blame China. We're forced into CBDC - and its China's fault.
Is her son still a bitcoiner?
😂 I meant to say that only a very small % of that population shall have your reasoning.
