⚡️🇪🇺 WATCH - ECB’s Christine Lagarde praises China’s CBDC, saying it works “for everyone.” The European Union plans to introduce its central bank digital currency—the digital euro—in October of this year. Christine Lagarde, head of the European Central Bank: "It is piloted on a fairly large scale in China, [where it] is of use and of service to all citizens." "So it is not something that is good for the elite, or is good for the young, or is good for some versus others." "If it is well done, and if it is well implemented, it would be of service to all citizens."

china's digital yuan it's a currency that the government controls how, when and where you can spend. This is not something that is good for the elite, neither it is good for the young, nor it is good for some versus others. It's good for authoritarian regimes and no one else! DO NOT let them do this in europe! You do not need this kind of control!
Do Europeans have anything to say about this? They should be losing their shit!

This is very true. Unfortunately most people are not even aware of this big issue!! They prefer TV, sports, junk food and party.
One thing the ECB should do is allow other means of payment. Society should make decision for itself. You cannot decide for people - they must decide for themselves.
