Of course you aren't allowed to show anyone.
It's in my payment targets and visible on my profile page on some clients.

I was watching some marketing podcasts and they kept repeating the point that engineers invariably reach for technical solutions, but often there are simple workflow changes that can do the same thing. And they often solve **the customer's real problem** better than the complex techy stuff. Forget about on-chain zaps. Here are payment targets integrated into the zap interface. You are welcome, Nostr. GM. image

Oh, okay. I can see your payment targets. 🙂 I'm working on the Monero handler. Trying to figure out how to open it directly in Cake Wallet, on click. A bit tricky. image
If Bitcoiners had more marketing sense (well, then we wouldn't be floundering like we are, but I digress), we would all know that getting people who prefer other payment methods (even -- gasp! -- fiat) to use Nostr _also_ increases the number of people who onboard to Bitcoin. A small slice of a huge pie can be larger than a very tiny pie. Or, as we say in Germany: > Competition is good for business.

When I orange pill someone they don't have a address either. I hook em up with one. When I ask the moneroe bros for some moneroe to get my toes in the door they say I should go pound sand. I still remember on X going back and forth with the kaspa bros why its so great. I finally just say send me some. The dude sent me 40 bucks worth. I feel like moneroe bros don't like the network effect or moneroe pilling people.

I have only received Nostr tips in Monero. Never once Bitcoin via the Silent Payments address in my profile.
It is an interesting thing this community and Bitcoin keep running into. When something is built in a way that no one can control, or gatekeep, and anyone can use it, the value of that isn't fully understood by many people who believe freedom tech is important. It can't be permissionless and trust minimized AND we're able to stop <insert despicable group> from using it.
I'm the wrong person to ask. Nostr client devs don't build zaps, they just enable them. Zapping is wallet/node feature. That garnet app was a Monero wallet. I'm not building a wallet.
How do you go about hooking up someone with a Monero address? How would that even work? You expect someone to create a wallet for you and hand you the private key? If you're too lazy to even download a wallet and create an address to put on your profile (exactly what you did with your lightning wallet so I know you can do it) idk what to tell you. Seems like you don't care about being tipped with Monero that much. If users like what you have to say people will tip you but there is no obligation. The entitled attitude you give off doesn't help either.

Yes, I'm useless to YOU because I won't give YOU money. Like I said, you're an entitled whiny fuck. Now piss off.

I just put a Monero address in my profile. It hasn't been faciliated by any client features. I use Damus, and Will seems belligerently opposed to implementing payment targets.
I actually already render both of his lightning addresses and the monero address. They're on his profile event. But if he wants Amethyst and the other apps to also see those addresses, he should add them to a payment target event, as that's now the standard.
Okay, I'll render the Monero tip receipts from Garnet and Nosmero, analog to the Lightning zap receipts. Then they can be attested to and turned into superchats, if the recipient wants to.

Monero units are closer to USD unit, so people probably end up sending ~1 USD values, where sats are much smaller units and people psychologically anchor to 21 or 100 sats, etc with much smaller USD values.

Ecash app zap seems to be working. For now!
That's true. Reminds me that I wanted to add a conversion display on the amounts field. So that everyone can see what the sat amount would be in fiat or traditional Bitcoin notation. As an orientation and typing-check.
