GM! Careful making it too hot. I ran my miners in the basement last winter and when the outside ground thawed it made my walls sweat so bad that I had puddles!

Good Morning. I guess the noise is not so bad upstairs.

Wow, that's nice. I picked up some cheap ceramic heaters from Walmart and they are probably noisier. I hope when I get my head above water I can look into home mining. Great stuff.
That's awesome man. I haven't had the guts to cut into our ductwork yet to do something similar. Just sitting over here with my humble 2 THs in Bitaxes, lol.

Heating your soul. 😌
Heating the basement while protecting yourself against debasement. It even rhymes
Second picture, it’s just a box cut to hold a filter. Basement is a construction zone and pretty disgusting right now. Dust everywhere
Miners are like 3 years old now. Cost is a tad less than twice the break even. So when I spend $20 for heating I probably get like $11 back. Not efficient, but the general heat cost is basically what I’d expect when factoring out the sats, and the miner is a sunk cost at this point. In other words, definitely worth the KYC free sats, experience, and fun project.

Dude are you trying to light your house on fire ?!?
Do you run the system only when needed for heat? Do you vent it outside in Summer? I’ve considered something similar, as well as trying to figure out how to loop it into the hot water heater.

The cardboard box filter rig is so bear market of you but I love it
Only for heat. Not efficient at all for generally mining bitcoin. But for heating the basement (and I just leave it on all day and night to keep it comfortable) it works great.
Don’t bring that bad juju in here! 😆 I’ve done a rather ridiculous system of drains and diversions for water around the foundation, plus have a pump for where the foundation drains to outside, and another as a backup that’s inside set into the slab. I’m going to have a small battery backup system as well that will run the internal pump for a couple of days if we lose power. Hopefully that covers all the most likely scenarios 😅🤞🏻
