I think ill go the distance with our takedown request, and not comply. The note is fetched client-side, so if they dont want to see the note, they shouldnt fetch from the event id. If German courts can not differentiate between data hosted on a site, and how nostr works, this will be their opportunity to learn. View quoted note →

Just send NIP9 delete request to relays, shoot them over a copy of signed event, and say you complied. Then when they follow up saying it’s still there, you go the distance and they lose and the courts understand. IANAL but this seems like a smarter approach
Are you surfacing the note and caching it anywhere, or were they using njump to find and fetch the note themselves on-the-fly? If the only reason that note has an njump page is that the claimant fetched it, they themselves have created part of the availability they're complaining about. But to my understanding the distinction is clients allow users to fetch content client side directly via relays, whereas njump is fetching the content and rendering it server side. Is that correct? If so, depending on how dedicated they are, they may still come after you for this reason.

🔴 What Is Islam? 🔴 Islam is not just another religion. 🔵 It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. 🔴 Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. 🔵 It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone. 🔴 It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine. 🌍 The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as: 📖 { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4) 📚 🔴 Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus. 🔵 Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him. More .....👇 🔴 THE RETURN OF JESUS
Feels like they are trying to hold the phone company liable for the content of the conversations that are carried on their network. The prohibition mentions "linking to" ... Who or what causes the URL at the top of your site to be generated in that particular form, and that particular content to be displayed?
Its whatever event id they put in the url, thats then used to fetch the from the relays straight to their device locally, so we do not host the content at all. nice analogy with phone!
And I guess your are also not hosting any links to any particular content, right? And you are also not providing a service to the user by which you search for the content on the user's behalf and then surface it to the user?

Non compliance seems reasonable.
