I think that explanation is too wordy & doesn't consider normie incentives. 💁‍♂️ I'd go w/something as simple as: " #Nostr is a social media platform where nobody can censor/ban you & you get paid to post. " 🫴 The curiosity from that alone will get them the rest of the way there; you don't even need to delve into the technical aspects, or mention the payment is in #BTC / #Bitcoin / #Lightning ; lower the barrier to entry as much as humanly possible so they don't even realize the problems they are solving. 🤙

WE understand the issues/concerns/benefits, but normies really have a tough time understanding them. 💁‍♂️ Meet them on their level of understanding. To them, followers = money. If you tell them they can skip the follower part of it & go straight to getting paid, it is a shortcut to their goal; everybody loves a shortcut. Then they'll figure the rest out & feel as if they "discovered" something. 😏😂 The organic word-of-mouth will kick in the first time they get zapped. 🤙

Love it!! Only thing inwould expand on is the potential to be so much more than ONLY social media. And i normally like to touch on the point that its is a protocol and compare it to protocols like https so the person has a mental comparison to reframe how they think about what it is. Because we always talk about apps and clients so much, people who are new get the wrong idea of what it is on a base level 🤷‍♂️
