One wasn’t actively facilitating a platform that connected assassins to clients for hit jobs? This isn’t very honest.

Ross Ulbricht was never charged for murder-for-hire. The prevalence of this mistaken belief shows how effective the media smear campaign against him was, and still is.
This isn't even what was claimed in court (and not charged). What happened was that a two cops posed as a blackmailer and a hitman, and put pressure on him to accept the offer from the hitman to take out the blackmailer, which he allegedly accepted (which again was not officially charged or found guilty).
If he had actually murdered someone he might have a lighter sentence. They made an example of him.
