Laws are laws. I'm not sure what the point is in chiding businesses for following the laws of countries in which they operate.
Some laws are regarded.
That does not mean they don’t exist
Many laws are stupid, even more are unnecessary, and some are simply mob crime hiding within “rule of law.” There are some good laws, of course, but not many.
See you in Max Max Australia. Don't steal my gas.
Australia is great. I love it (not for its laws, of course).
Sheesh that's ridiculous
The bar keeps getting set so high! 😂
*because we can't*
Now I'm scared what they do scan!
EU laws are lagarded
Wait, aren’t you the nostr CEO? Why you asking the junior dev?
I smell potential for nostr incoming.... 😄
Depends on the Nostr client.
Literally why this kinda tech is super important and why I began using it. It and things like it such as Matrix will be the last bastions of the free internet.
Simple, oppression is oppression. Citizens should not be forced to identify themselves when they for example wish to talk about politics with each other and counter a government narrative. Its not like we give them flack because they decide to comply when they are forced to. We see it as the weakness that that poses and adopt tech thats resistant to it.
Apart from lack of knowledge what prevents the same authorities from demanding the same sort of things to big relays eventually? It is bad news. Would not like to have to abandon my nsec, use an anonymous silly name and became a pariah on a Nostr were big relays have to ask for KYC
This control isn’t far from being done in Europe, in some other ways, like Digital Euro.
Stay Free
I joined nostr after watching your videos. I didn't knew such thing existed. I am so glad to found this. Still early in learning phase .Thanks a lot. 🙌
**but we may request a shoe on your head if we are feeling spicy.
there are exceptions to the rules lol
Go outside and take a selfie with the bluesky
Best I can do is another pic of my dog.
I’m betting there’s literally a handful of people on bluesky that aren’t adults. Kids don’t use that shit. They’re out of their fucking minds
We are not even social media. We are a protocol.
I begrudgingly admire the thought process of the political (parasite) class. "We're protecting children" is easy to sell to normies, but "We're going to imprison our political enemies" won't fly quite so well
Australia next up.
