Thread - Nostr Hypermedia

For anyone interested. Nostr DMs are a mess. Different clients run different standards and it's a work in progress to make it all sane and interoperable. If I never replied to you, it's possible that I never received your message or you didn't receive my reply. I started using @keychat to manage it somehow, but I'm still not sure if it's the best approach.

indeed. with first class giftwrap support in nostrdb we effectively get nip17 DMs for free. nip17 DMs are just a giftwrapped kind 14, so anyone sending a DM to damus ios/android/notedeck or airchat will just work. we only have to query for kind 14 locally to show them. View quoted note →

there is only one standard and that is nip-17 everything else is noise, white noise or not.

Marmot is for secure group message, DM is max 3 people... or some number whose n*(n-1)< random digit

Probably @0xchat and @Keychat are good solutions. Maby @White Noise gets usable some time. But until now, I did not have a single working conversation over Whitenoise. Where on Oxchat many proofed to work. On keychat as well.
