This post didn’t say anything about abolishing the IRS. Only establishing another government agency.
He's not promising to get rid of the IRS, though. He's actually promising to create a new taxing agency. More government growth.

In this post, he did not, but Trump has mentioned multiple times wanting to get rid of the IRS. This agency would replace the IRS in getting revenue, but again, this is politicians saying stuff - never believe it until it happens. He better release Ross day 1
If they charge more tariffs, they’ll either have to lower taxes for us, or sell property to foreigners to avoid importing.

I am for abolishing the IRS and replacing it with nothing. Cut the government 90% and move to consumption-based taxes and tariffs. That would lead to a Great Depression because the government has become such a monster, they are half the economy at this point. Hard times create strong men. We need to become a nation of strong men again.

I don’t think the MAGAs think that way at all. They depend on entitlements as much as anyone else, so Trump has promised not to touch them. And Republicans will never cut the military, so we’re down to peanuts for DOGE to fiddle with.

Taxation - all of it - is theft. At least at the federal level. And most local taxes.
