Borders are imaginary lines. It’s not “my country” and “your country”. It’s the world…and it doesn’t belong to us. We belong to it.

Around the 18th century, selected groups coagulated countries around them and they do border each other. The milking will continue until the morale improves significantly. Otherwise yes, imagine there's no countries...
But there are cultures and cultural "commons" that are indeed regionally bound. And languages. Languages are broadly spoken within regional boundaries.

Thats great and all but it doesn't work when there's a social safety net. Get rid of all entitlement programs and I'm willing to have conversation about borders, but not before.
You’d be hard pressed to find a historical period that we call a renaissance or golden age that didn’t have walls or borders around their city/state/country to keep out “barbarians”.

I've always found it fascinating how Europe chose to remove borders between countries. There's an "external" border still of course, but everyone within those borders can travel freely to and from 29 different countries with their own people, governments and culture. 🇪🇺
Yeah, this is a very recent and short stint of peace for Europe. They’ve been at war with each other for thousands of years prior to ww2. Definitely will not last imo and will accelerate if and when the USA actually stops subsidizing their military to them.
That is pure B. S. Lack of borders destroy nations. A nation needs borders or it will lose its identity and become a puppet of the invaders. Rome lived this. England, France and most of Europe are living this right now.

That’s something many don’t get. That’s a big friction point all round

Cross this imaginary line and I will shoot you. Understand now? Nice fantasy though. Do people really get off on this bullshit or are you just trolling?
Of course. If I had the proper vettng time to get to know her and figure out if she was cool or if she is the type that would steal all my shit and kill me in my sleep. Point was you don't just let anyone in your house willy-nilly wthout your permission or without knowing who they are.
Fair. She's been one of the most realistic people I've ever met online, let alone Nostr. Get where you're coming from though
