I for one am a big fan of Odell back on X. I could go into all the debates on whether deleting an account is worth it, about network effects, etc. path dependence. But people want to be where they want to be. And Odell is welcomed where he wants to be, and does good work wherever he is. And you know how I know it’s really Odell on X? Nostr and social graphs, is how. 😉 View quoted note →

You gotta do what you gotta do. Internet stranger opinion don’t mean anything. Frens understand and support anything you do.

We pray for you. John 14:21 [on Nostr]- "The one who loves Nostr will be loved by sovereign individuals, and I too will love them and show myself to them."
Everyone is free to do whatever they want to. So, if Odell wants to use X, well -- so be it. I just don’t understand why anyone, who is on Nostr, would be "a big fan" of somebody going back to using X. What, specifically speaking, are you a big fan of?
Yeah, I am not too interested in his X activity. I am just interested in Lyn being "a big fan" of Odell using X again. I am not using X. So, if I want to see what people are talking there, I have to use a website such as xcancel.com. Odell writes that he “should not have left X” and that it “created a vacuum for grifters”. Does Lyn see it the same way? Does she think that now that the sheriff is back in town things are going to get better? Or why is she a big fan of Odell using X again?
Understood, sorry for the spam. I wouldn’t know… I fail to see other reasons than the effects of a personality cult.
No worries about the spam. Regarding the personality cult, if Lyn is a big fan of Odell, she can read his notes here on Nostr too. Lyn is on Nostr. Odell is on Nostr. So, I am just surprised about the fact that Lyn is "a big fan" of Odell using X again. It’s the same if I was saying that: “I for one would love to see Bitcoin Mechanic using Instagram."
