I've already blocked over 100 of these boys and they just keep coming. it's fucking annoying I'm already thinking about giving up on nostr.

We could create a ”whitelist filter” that is downloaded from trusted peers. If 75% of your trusted peers have blocked notes/users, then this content could, on your client, get the lowest priority or even be put in a ”spam tab/view”. This way we get a ”crowd sourced span filter”. No centralized algo…. little to no spam. This is what #peercuration is all about!

Try using good relays like web of trust ones: wot.relayted.de and or premium relays like aegis.relayted.de

3. Enjoy Nostr without any crap
There is no algorithm there. You have to curate your feed to see what you want to see but when you do the experience is unmatched (at least for me)
TBH, I don't see anything. Just a few people retweeted some buzzbot posts a few days back, mostly trying it. Nothing else. 🤨

Relays is a pretty much individual thing. You could lookup which relays your follows use.
And depending on the client used you can maybe set if it is an upstream or downstream relay. At least amethyst allows this.
