the main lesson of the 2017 bcash fork:
the best move was to stay humble and stack sats

A better reminder is the old article from Mircea Popescu
If you go on a Bitcoin fork, irrespective which scammer proposes it, you will lose your Bitcoins. on Trilema - A blog by Mircea Popescu.

I've seen lately a lot of posts about x and y wanted to fork Bitcoin for whatever reason. And always came to my mind this old warning post from Mir...

We concur!
did you claim those coins and dump them for real sats?
I did 😆
This just shows @odell CLEARLY doesn't know what he is talking about unless he thinks BIP444 AND 2017 bcash fork are the same thing.
DON'T MISS THE NUANCES PLEBS AND CONTINUE SUPPORTING BIP444 TO GET OUT OF SHITCOIN CORE DEVS COMMUNISM...!!!

If the protocol forks and we don't know which chain will be the most valuable, how can we ensure the sats we have in both can be recovered?
For example. If sparrow supports fork A but not fork B, how can I recover my sats in fork B. Will there be compatible wallets for both forks that would work with the same seed phrase?
is there ever a situation in which this isn’t the best move?

How do I know which chain is the true one?
It’s great advice in most situations
STACKERS NEVER LOSE.
On the correct chain though. How do people know which chain will be the winner? I know my pick for which I want to win, but do I need to stack data on both chains?
🤣🤣🤣

Simple adwice, just work and stack sats
After the fork which do you stack sats to? Don't you still have to decide between one or the other?
And bet on the prediction market
No, stop trying to scam people with rigged bets
I already told you Luke multiple times, give me the exact wording you want and I’ll set up the other market.
So set up the on-chain bet, where the payout is enforced by bitcoin
You can't claim it's "rigged", if it's enforced by the most well known trustless programmable money
