The truth is the nonaggression principle comes prior to Bitcoin maximalism, is more important than it. It must always be upheld, and it implies that one should be anti-statist. Bitcoin maximalism is a strategic element for being anti-statist. If there were ever a conflict between that and the NAP, one must follow the NAP. That's not being pragmatic, that's adhering to theory and principles, which is always **practical.** Please don't support the false philosophy that is Pragmatism when you very clearly are more principled than that. I would advise against using that word at all. I hate when Mechanic says it. This is the last vestige of falsehood that needs to be eradicated from the principled bitcoiner space.
Of course, so far as I am concerned, it is hard for there to be a conflict between Bitcoin maximalism and being anti-statist, since each noderunner gets to decide what the true Bitcoin is for himself, via policy and consensus settings. It is a software paradigm very conducive to individual autonomy even in the weird world of money and state-distorted power dynamics.
