I meant lucky to not have been raised believing in the State, schools, and other tyrannical systems, and trusting them. It was kinda painful to have to unlearn and untie myself from all that in my 40s.

my father was a child slave from the age of 4 to 14, joined the military, and ended up working with the KGB.
It was kinda painful to realize his world as a single father during my toddler and adolescent years.
I did not mean to offend.
But yes you are right, I was lucky in some ways to have the harsh exposure to real life early on.
I was unlucky to have missed out on other things in my childhood.
Forgive my harshess, you hit a nerve with the word "lucky".
I guess we are all luckier than the majority of people on earth and have to let that sink in.
