⚡️🚨 ALERT - If you're in the UK, France, and some other European country you'll need to provide ID to use X fully. I've just checked: You can't use a VPN to get around this requirement. Everything is speeding up good luck, but the UK and Europe are doomed and I have no illusions. The police have already shown they can arbitrarily arrest you for "inciting hatred". With compulsory ID, how far will they go? #asknostr image

Mais whaaat ?! Grosse opportunité de purple pill pour le coup
They’ll tighten their grip until normies start to disengage from the system destroying it in the process. I do not expect much resistance.
Anon, where is all that data stored? And the amount of power having that data in your possession in times of cyber warfare is terrifying. Pfff, those governments probably only have limited access to their restricted jurisdiction. The owner of that data is the real powerful one.
Politicians here are as bad as anywhere else but I'll take the Cybersecurity minister who has "heard of the concept of a USB flash drive but never used a computer" over those jackasses any day
Time to get right with Jesus Christ. This is the fulfillment of prophecy. Revelation 13:16-17 Rev 13:16-17 KJV “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17. And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Shared using AndBible: Bible Study. (https://andbible.github.io)

Thank you for sharing
This doesn't seem accurate. Currently X gives uses the option to provide ID and also may request it when investigating certain policy breaches but I cannot find info of a blanket ID request to use X as this post suggest

Community notes clarifies that ID verification is only for creator studio something or other. But if they have the ability to ask for ID there, then it wont be long before governments force it everywhere.

[Privacidad] Si te piden ID no uses ese servicio. El ciberespacio no es suyo. Es nuestro. No lo olvides. Construye. #hola #HispaNostrs #hispano #español

It's almost as if the 2nd amendment is the most important legislation ever written.

I wrote about the same requirements being rolled out in Australia in December. I can’t wait for the wonderful safe internet we will be able to create for ourselves and our children 🌞🌈 View article →
My understanding is that you can’t access certain content like explicit videos from Gaza if you don’t provide ID for age, not that you have to give it for other content on X that’s deemed “safe” for all audiences. But I’m not at X anymore so I don’t care.
Only normies and larpers will keep using twitter and other social networks on the same boat.

Still don't need to provide any ID to use Nostr
I’m done playing their game. ⚡ We zap, not beg. ⚡ We speak, not register. ⚡ We build, not comply. #Nostr is the exit. #Bitcoin is the lifeboat. No ID required. Just signal.
If governments are good at anything its incrementalism. Would love to get a look at their upcoming roadmap for the next 5 years.. No matter what, just remember what time it is image

Doomed indeed. I left in 2018 and will never go back.
Here in Australia these new laws go into effect in December. To use any social media, (the definition of social concludes everything from games like Minecraft to YouTube, news websites etc. Literally anything where you can send a message or write a comment the Australian government considers social media ) You'll have to prove you are over 16 years old by uploading government issued ID. Facebook has already started making some Australians upload their drivers licence or passport just to continue using their profiles
Very unfortunate, but very predictable. Will probably apply to every kind of media. If they go all rogue maybe every online service? What is the other European country?
Covid showed us that the more we comply, the harsher the next round of oppression will be! The restrictions only started to lighten up when they stopped getting compliance. They only have the power that we let them have and they really fear us realising that. This is why they are clamping down on the Internet and all methods of self expression, because what they have planned for us next, they know we will fight hard against if they don't.... We are now fighting for our lives! Do Not Comply!
Not sure I was able to parse that. You’re saying you have a country in your profile but no linked bank card? So maybe they’re looking at patterns of previous IP access and maybe also profile?
They will go way far since they don't have to even try to find who is behind the account. My X profile has a pinned message bringing people here.
