I can think of a couple cases where someone might argue it was luck and I fell into it. Each time there was still a substantial effort to be in the place and time and have the right traits to take advantage. Think lucking into a great job. That ignores all the effort that went into being qualified and having the reputation that was required to be possible for you to be the "lucky" one when that moment of chance happened.
