There was a housefly in my kitchen buzzing against the glass. Desperately yearning to be outside. I scooped him up and attempted to direct him to the open door, but he was insistent on crashing into the glass over and over again. Finally I trapped him in a cup and carried him outside. I watched him fly away and thought… How often am I that fly in gods eyes?

That's a very profound thought 🤔 Fren but I believe #God helps guide us in life to not repeatedly run into the windows. I have faith in #God helping us all that way.
Sometimes we’re so focused on what we think is the way out that we can’t see the open door right beside us. Maybe faith is trusting that the hand guiding us.

Speaking only for myself, every damn day lol
There was a fly buzzing around my face while I was still in bed. I nearly broke my nose slapping myself in the face and I didn't even get it. Maybe I'm that fly today.

Man that’s deep. a totally different way to look at the situation.
Especially when we get upset or feel depressed about suddenly being trapped in the cup, not realizing it’s being used to carry us toward something better. 🫂
Same happened to me today. Little bugger just couldn't see the giant open window right above it's head in my k7ds room. I coaxed it, tried to use the curtain to nudge it out but it just kept on banging away. Then my daughter yelled out Dada so I crushed the retarded little fucker and attended to my child.
I know I've been the fly many times, insisting on a dead ensd (namely relationships) only to look back and regret the time I lost insisting....

I guess I understand what you’re trying to say, but I would say not at all. You didn’t create the fly. God created us on His image. Flys don’t look like us. God paid the penalty for our sins to not leave us in our sin. Flys don’t sin. We paid no price for the fly. We have no ability to offer salvation. But in terms of God coaxing us where he wants us to go, that is always towards him. As Hebrews 12 plainly lays out, our discipline is, as a good father, to bring us to Him. It is all but for His glory and our good. Christ is King.

No disagreement from me. Just feedback regarding the question from the obvious metaphor.
I have one on deck for spider crickets. Those bitches have a lot of bounce to them, but this neutralizes that skill

I give most bugs three tries to safety. If they refuse my third attempt to save them then my karma is clear.

Sometimes being trapped is just the prelude to being shown the way to true freedom.
We often get stuck chasing what we think is the way out, when something better is just a few steps in another direction. Sometimes we just need to pause and trust that there is a bigger view than the one right in front of us.

It is totally ok when you keep on crashing into the glass over and over again. You are loved and whatever you need to experience, you are allowed to do so. There is no such a thing as a "bad story". A story is a story is a story. That's the cosmic joke. :-)
Every single time you act without love. Every time you make people feel like they're outsiders. Every time you prejudicially dismiss someone from a position of ignorance, whether they be a Hindu, Buddhist, Jew, Muslim, Christian, shitcoiner, Bitcoiner, nocoiner, or otherwise.

A couple nice things about the Lutheran faith I like is that it acknowledges all men are sinners and doesn’t place any man in strange powers of authority within the church. They also believe in baptizing infants and the sermons apply the bible to every day life. There’s a sort of realism within it.
As long as Jesus is your saviour I don’t care what flavour of church you go to.. 😛
