On Monday a man used a car to attack an independent politician. The media accused him of being an African migrant and a Muslim. He is a white atheist from a Chrsitian family and he was born in Australia. Media narrative changed to say the attack was motivated by "revenge on behalf of Palestine" The politician he ran over is one of the only outspoken critics of Zionism in Australian politics. And now, the media narrative has changed again, now they are saying that he's a good man who suffered from a mental health issue and trying to justify the attempted assassination. This country is fucked.

When people attempt to assassinate anyone who makes extortion and violent control of others a way of life, I have no sympathy.

the palestine shit is entirely made up by shock jockey "journalists" and the weird thing is that the guy in the car his family is friends with the family of the politician: helen haines, the independent MP for indi, was hit by a toyota landcruiser outside her electorate office in wangaratta, victoria, on monday. she lost both legs and is critical but stable. the suspect is brendan nugent, 43, from nearby tarrawingee, an environmental campaigner whose family had been friends with haines for more than 20 years. he was charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury, intentionally causing serious injury, and causing harm to a commonwealth public official. police called it a targeted, deliberate attack. the motive is not established.
