Have you ever heard of Purse. io? Shut down a couple years ago and definitely not decentralized, but offered a useful service for Amazon orders with Bitcoin. Wondering why nobody has rebuilt it. Perhaps also not enough volume.

Oh yes, I knew that.
It's just that the narrative of not spending Bitcoin has taken hold, so we are totally harmless to the state.
If you have to sell Bitcoin for fiat currency in order to buy things, it means that the state has you totally under control and on top of that you're going to pay taxes on your Bitcoin.
Open Bazaar was one of my favourite projects, and I tested it when it was active, but there were a few bits which they were never able to decentralise. Nostr market places have got to be the future for using Bitcoin.
