I don't like either
I think we are in the pseudo transhumanism era, where we can not live without our smartphones and smartwatches. But these brain implants can be a big thing for disabled people, for everyone else it is a nightmare, something like the end of humanity as we know it. Full control. Death of privacy, full slavery.
Bunch of Antichrist neofeudalists.

From a disability perspective, I tend to welcome it. But with Musk attached to this I am vohemently against it.
It was interesting that the way it was presented at the plan B forum conference, was that this would be privacy, open source, decentralized or something oriented etc. (it's kinda funny I spaced out right before the brain chip image popped up on the screen after Paolo sharing about the rest of their many suites of focuses) so it was a bit starling when I looked up and returned to listening, but it seemed like this is supposedly the idea behind it and their involvement.👀
But to circle back around to this (sorry I was eating something earlier), it's certainly not good.
1. I think it will happen weather we like it or not (if it is not already happening)
2. Sad to not have more awakened people here on nostr specially in this kind of topics like biology/biohacking/health there are a lot of mental and societal barriers for many things, many pleasures to be sacrificed may be.
Think most people will be pleased to be a part of it
Could you clarify? Do I understand you correctly that you are of the opinion that brain chips could be a needed enhancement to human existence or that it comes with losing something innately and inherently natural?
What part of it you don't like? What's most concerning or a turn off about this?
Implants in your brain for no reason other than to "make life easier" is just a massive accident waiting to happen. I can envisage brain cancer spikes and robotic. People being programmed!!!!!
Tether is an underhanded attempt at a CBDC and isn't needed when we have a perfectly good alternative electronic, decentralised, trust less p2p can already.
In a nutshell
With different interface, we already have used chips to "enhance" our existence, the enhance part is debatable, of course because our happiness is nothing compared to our ancestors.
I might be crazy but, with AI boom, and centralization, imagine the case you and me belong to a hunter gathered tribe, (the most natural kind of living I can imagine) the rest of the world continues its current development, in one moment they would want to conquer us, use our land, take our lives Idk you name it.
I mean, if we want to be free or sovereing in the physicial world or sense hahah, we will need to adapt, what do you think?
But to summarize. If I get it right, you'd be in your nature habitat and it will be fear that drives you to get in on it? Have you tried spending time in nature lately? Do you spend much time in and with nature currently?
Thanks for reading and replying 💕🫂I don't know why I start talking about these kind of things I "know" a lot of things and have a lot of imagination and memory for this kind of weirds topics, but I should stop thinking about this hahaha I am really young and fragile mentally still, will continue this discussion in a few months future or something, thanks 🧉
