Since we shipped Primal 3.0 two weeks ago, nearly 14,000 users have migrated to the new Spark-based wallet. The migration process has worked well, and we feel that we are now ready to set the official sunset date for the old wallet: the custodial wallet service will be discontinued on April 30, 2026. What happens to custodial wallets that don’t upgrade? There are probably still many users who may not log in or see the announcements in time.

Covered in my article under FAQs: What happens if I don’t move my funds before the custodial wallet sunset date? After April 30, 2026 the old custodial wallet will no longer be operational. If you don’t upgrade and still have some funds in that wallet, you will be able to recover them by contacting us at support@primal.net. Please make sure you include your Nostr npub in your email.

hm strange. I do not see my wallet balance after updating on IOS while it works fine with Android. Any idea?

If you are using the same nostr account on iOS and Android, then you need to restore your spark wallet on the second device (iOS in your case) using the seed phrase from the first device.
