You do realize your life would be objectively worse under Chinese rule. Yes, The United States government is suboptimal but it's preferable over China's government. At least in The West you have due process, bails, lawyers, and civil liberties, and non-stop news coverage of prolific arrests, in China you are disappeared without any remembering you. I think they did this to the CEO of Alibaba too, and no one remembers but everyone knows about Snowden, Assange, and Manning, etc.
