Great read.
Vibe coding is for lazy dummies. Besides, why try to do everything quicker? Itβs not the path to happiness, for sure.
This is the most interesting and disturbing article I've read in years.
Thanks.
the privacy implications of this, while not new, are striking when worded this way

My job will surely disappear within the next 5 years. I don't know hwo to get an alternative reliable revenue stream.
Incredible read. I'm optimistic.

This is my biggest barrier to using it more. Unless it's my own private agent, which is considerably less advance, i won't just freely give over a bunch of confidential information. I don't trust any of these $20/month models. Can't even trust them with non confidential information
yes, but it will hardly matter because your service providers won't have the same restraint
So lose productivity if you don't use AI or lose privacy if you do. What about @Maple AI or something that supposedly encrypts everything?
sure, you and me and the minority of people who care will seek out solutions like that...my point is that most people won't do that. they'll chase the shiny productivity gains and sabotage everyone they work with in the process. which includes you and me, no matter how careful we are.
the ai-building-ai feedback loop is the part that should keep everyone up at night. once the recursion becomes self-sustaining, all our predictions are wrong. being early to these tools is the only real hedge left.
Hmm, yeah you're right. We're screwed...

Same conundrum as 21st century Internet. And we already know how the world went with itπ€·
