Cannabis starts are planted in the rabbit colony! image Selected the 12 largest plants of each of the f1 crosses (pineapple pomegranate x super lemon haze) image The roots were ready for a bigger pot a few days ago better transplanted sooner than later. image Each plant gets 10gal composted horse manure broad forked in along with 5gal of sheep manure packed straw as mulch. Will add more throughout the summer. Rows are planted on counter with the slope for maximum water catchment. image After growing and breeding cannabis for a few years, I have finally arrived at a method which requires no outside inputs. Seed from previous seasons, growing substrate various compost/sand/soils found on the homestead, pots used 1gal vinegar jugs, rabbit exclusion rings from prior seasons. The only true expense this season has been my time. image By integrating the rabbits and the cannabis together I get higher yields of both. The rabbits weed and fertilize the cannabis and the excess cannabis feeds the rabbits. The cannabis will also provide shade and additional protection for the rabbits. After last seasons failures, I'm excited to see what this system can produce this go around! #permaculture #permies #homesteading #grownostr #cannabis #rabbits #rabbitcolony #outdoorgrow #sungrown #weedstr #meatrabbits #gardening #selfsovereignty View quoted note โ†’

While the cannabis isn't large enough for the rabbits to eat yet, they still get fed any weeds and prunings from around the homestead turning waste into meat. These sassafras saplings were the byproduct of harvesting the root to be dried in the Bitcoin mining dehydrator. #weedstr #cannabis #outdoorgrow #sungrown #regenerativefarming #permaculture #permies #homesteading #genetics #grownostr #weed #pot #marijuana #rabbit #rabbitcolony #meat #producenowaste #obtainayeild #integratratherthansegregate View quoted note โ†’
Cannabis still getting established in the rabbit colony. image This pineapple pomegranate is the best looking of the group so far. It is the last remaining seed of the genetics I started with from Massive Seed Co. in Oregon. image A small rabbit kit squeezed it's way past the cage of this pineapple pomegranate super lemon haze cross. I think it will survive and will be interesting to compare the growth as the season goes on. image Still waiting for the plants to show their sex. I will pull any males and feed them to the rabbits. #permaculture #permies #homesteading #grownostr #cannabis #rabbit #rabbitcolony #gardening #sungrown #outdoorgrow #weedstr View quoted note โ†’

That must be the reason! I see other people's images yes they are probably not using imgur.
Sexing cannabis and replacing males in the rabbit colony cannabis garden The cannabis is showing it's sex, so it's time to pull the males in the rabbit colony cannabis garden and replace them with females from the cold frame. The top image can be identified as a female by the presence of the pistols emerging from the pre-flower at the stem. The lower image is and example of a male with the lack of pistols on the pre-flower. Check out the worms hanging out in the soil after digging up one of the male cannabis plants to be replaced in the garden. The cannabis has a long way to grow before harvest, I look forward to taking a break and enjoying a mullein spliff while watching the plants grow as season goes on. #permaculture #permies #homesteading #grownostr #weedstr #selfsovereignty #cannabis #rabbitcolony #weed #marijuana #spliff #garden #outdoorgrow #sungrown View quoted note โ†’
in real life too: "Hermies" are generally undesirable plants, and they can ruin a small crop with their pollen if you're not careful.
Cannabis thriving in the rabbit colony cannabis garden with minimal effort image The cannabis was transplanted in the rabbit colony on May 13th. I chose to plant high on the slope closer together this season. After a few years of observation, I think this area gets the best sun exposure so the plants grow best here. image To start this season, I dug soil from the low area of the rabbit colony to fertilize the cannabis. Any excess nutrients have been caught in this area. So far, I've only watered once right after transplanting, thanks the soil rich in organic matter and the wood chip/straw mulch. image The ladybugs showed up almost immediately and are doing their work to keep the pest pressure on the plants in check. image The plants are in the ground 10 days earlier than last season and are all looking healthy. I've been able to determine the sex on them and have started to pull the males to feed to the rabbits. I have selected one male which I will keep and let it drop pollen for a few days before removing it so the plants can produce seed, which is the main yield I'm looking for. image I'm looking forward to see how big I can get the cannabis to grow this season. I will be feeding chicken composted horse manure after replacing all the males with more female plants in the next week or so. #permaculture #permies #homesteading #meshtadel #cannabis #weedstr #grownosr #marijuana #rabbitcolony More details about how I grow the cannabis from 2023 View quoted note โ†’
