Cannabis exploding with growth, transplanting is on the horizon The cannabis is really starting to take off, so starting to get the beds prepped in the rabbit colony for planting. First step is digging up the nutrient rich soil from the low point in the colony and moving it to the top of the hill. Then I will broad fork it in, after that, I'll add the composted horse manure just before planting. I'm going to put some plants up at the top of the hill this season. Even though it's much more dry, it gets much better sun. I've been dumping straw and woodchips in the colony here and there which I will use as mulch to help hold the moisture in. The hillbilly hasher is no longer necessary to maintain the temperature in the cold frame so it's exclusively hashing on sunshine from solar power for now. I plan to modify it to work with the dehydrator box asap. Seeds are still available. #homesteading #permaculture #permies #grownostr #cannabis #seedlings #gardening #weedstr

The cannabis plants this year are shaping up to be giant image Thanks to the favorable weather plus the help of the hillbilly hasher bitcoin miner keeping the temperatures nice and warm, the cannabis is much larger than it was last year around a similar time. View quoted note → This is what the cannabis starts looked like last year on May 2nd. It was much colder and I had early losses thanks to mice and chickens... Seeds are still available. #plebminer #homemining #bitcoinmining #bitcoin #mining #homesteading #permaculture #permies #grownostr #cannabis #seedlings #gardening #weedstr View quoted note →

Loving what you are up to here. Thanks for keeping us updated. I shake my head now as I pull up weeds as we do not yet have bunnies to feed them to . . . hehehe. Very cool! 🥰
Cannabis thriving in the rabbit colony cannabis garden with minimal effort image The cannabis was transplanted in the rabbit colony on May 13th. I chose to plant high on the slope closer together this season. After a few years of observation, I think this area gets the best sun exposure so the plants grow best here. image To start this season, I dug soil from the low area of the rabbit colony to fertilize the cannabis. Any excess nutrients have been caught in this area. So far, I've only watered once right after transplanting, thanks the soil rich in organic matter and the wood chip/straw mulch. image The ladybugs showed up almost immediately and are doing their work to keep the pest pressure on the plants in check. image The plants are in the ground 10 days earlier than last season and are all looking healthy. I've been able to determine the sex on them and have started to pull the males to feed to the rabbits. I have selected one male which I will keep and let it drop pollen for a few days before removing it so the plants can produce seed, which is the main yield I'm looking for. image I'm looking forward to see how big I can get the cannabis to grow this season. I will be feeding chicken composted horse manure after replacing all the males with more female plants in the next week or so. #permaculture #permies #homesteading #meshtadel #cannabis #weedstr #grownosr #marijuana #rabbitcolony More details about how I grow the cannabis from 2023 View quoted note →
