The cannabis plants this year are shaping up to be giant image Thanks to the favorable weather plus the help of the hillbilly hasher bitcoin miner keeping the temperatures nice and warm, the cannabis is much larger than it was last year around a similar time. This is what the cannabis starts looked like last year on May 2nd. It was much colder and I had early losses thanks to mice and chickens... Seeds are still available. #plebminer #homemining #bitcoinmining #bitcoin #mining #homesteading #permaculture #permies #grownostr #cannabis #seedlings #gardening #weedstr View quoted note β†’

Double spending energy mining Bitcoin and heating this cold frame growing cannabis and vegetable starts. image Now that I've been using the S9 to heat the cold frame for a couple weeks I'm confident that it can keep consistent temps and not dry things out too much. I moved all the starts I had growing in a window inside out to the cold frame where they can get more light. image The starts from indoors are very leggy and the seedlings started in the cold frame are at various stages of growth due to a mouse that kept eating the seeds I replaced after a rogue chicken plucked up the majority of the initial sprouts. All in all, doing better than last year thanks to the extra warmth from the Bitcoin miner. #plebminer #homemining #bitcoinmining #bitcoin #mining #homesteading #permaculture #permies #grownostr #cannabis #seedlings #gardening

Those look very nice. Are you planting them in the rabbit area again?
Cannabis exploding with growth, transplanting is on the horizon The cannabis is really starting to take off, so starting to get the beds prepped in the rabbit colony for planting. First step is digging up the nutrient rich soil from the low point in the colony and moving it to the top of the hill. Then I will broad fork it in, after that, I'll add the composted horse manure just before planting. I'm going to put some plants up at the top of the hill this season. Even though it's much more dry, it gets much better sun. I've been dumping straw and woodchips in the colony here and there which I will use as mulch to help hold the moisture in. The hillbilly hasher is no longer necessary to maintain the temperature in the cold frame so it's exclusively hashing on sunshine from solar power for now. I plan to modify it to work with the dehydrator box asap. Seeds are still available. #homesteading #permaculture #permies #grownostr #cannabis #seedlings #gardening #weedstr

Here is a compilation of all my favorite mining notes from the last year. I guess use Bitcoin miners in almost every way I can think of. Cooking hash-vide style rabbit ramen with Bitcoin mining hot water heater The second meal cooked in the Bitcoin mining hot water heater is rabbit ramen soup. Rabbit grown and harvested right here at the homestead, along with these other ingredients from the homestead rabbit stock, garlic, and finally golden oyster mushrooms dehydrated with a Bitcoin miner. Soy sauce, rice vinegar, lemon, sesame oil, Japanese seven spice, salt, pepper, butter. All ingredients went into a silicone bag and submerged in the hot canola oil tank of the bitcoin mining hot water heater for 3 days. Hard to beat mining Bitcoin, heating water, and cooking food all at the same time. I can get the water up to 150f out of the tap with only 1500w of power consumption for the total system, miner, pumps, and all! Another super cool aspect of this mining setup is that it runs on 110v power instead of 220v. Not having access to a 220v circuit is often a limiting factor for pleb miners, especially when these sorts of applications don't always require so much power. By modifying the apw12 PSU and making a custom power cord, now I can plug the miner into an existing 110v circuit. It cost less than $20 to do the modification on the PSU plus using a modified apw12 vs a Loki + apw3++ allows for voltage attenuation and higher total power output. #permaculture #permies #homesteading #meshtadel #bitcoin #bitcoinmining #plebminer #homeminer #sousvide #rabbit #ramen #foodstr #stackingfunctions #doublespendenergy View quoted note β†’
