One of the most terrifying policies of the Trump administration is that you can now land yourself on a fucking FBI terrorism watchlist if an AI model thinks you are expressing views including but not limited to these extremely broad categories of "anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Christianity;…extremism on migration, race, and gender; and hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality." Can arguing against statism from an anarcho capitalist perspective be conaidered "anti-American"? Probably. Anything they want can be considered "anti-American"... Bro what the fuck? It's 1950s style McCarthyism supercharged by an AI powered technocracy. If you post anything even remotely controversial it may be time to scrub your timeline and become anon if you are doxxed. It is not safe to be political under your real name. What Republican voters might not understand is that once Trump's FBI pops the Minority Report cherry, there is no going back. This is the threat model that makes pseudonymous identity and coin control non-optional rather than paranoid hobbyist behavior. An AI classifier trained on vague ideological categories doesn't need to be accurate to be dangerous — it just needs a false positive rate low enough to survive a congressional hearing. That's a lot of words. I even read some of them, and yet I still can't understand what specifically you have a problem with. Are you mad that the FBI has watchlists? Are you mad that the FBI pays attention to certain people based on the beliefs they announce to the world? Are you mad that your beliefs are included in that? Or are you just mad that they are using AI? Personally, I think people deserve it for actively choosing to associate their beliefs with their personal identity. Speech is just so much more pure and wholesome when its anonymous.
