why not opnsense on a box?

what would a Start9 router entail compared to opnsense and other router OSes that are much more robust and have much more contributors? or is it OSHW
i hope so because otherwise i don't understand why we're still waiting on "clearnet" support
I hope they are making the Wi-Fi box with a full node
That should be in every household
i assume it will be more user-friendly, pre-packaged hardware that works out of the box. i havent tried anything like the openwrt one.
im a simple man, if you point me to a guide i can follow to build my own then i mught attempt it. if i have to research a bunch then i might never take the time to figue it out.

that is cool. who is using sfps in their home network??
me.
also, SFP ONTβs exist
you know i meant on the other side of the demarc
again, still me
I have a 24x1G + 4x10G switch which feeds into all sorts of stuff (APs, devices) and the SFPs connect to the router, NAS and my desktop (the desktop is connected via Cat6 with a 10GBASE-T SFP, the others are MM fiber)

What's wrong with openwrt? Just install it on a used tplink
