💯 I've got a couple friends into Bitcoin. For their purposes, saving, lightning isn't really necessary, on chain is all they need. Hopefully it gets better with time.

Unfortunately neither of those are available for me in Canada.

Zeus's built in node is quite a nice balance for sovereignty and convenience. Blixt too. Full LND only gives some marginal additional utility, but set up is quite easy these days particularly with Olympus as an LSP. You can get as in the weeds as you want or keep it simple.
