nostr.build is 100% self funded! - We don’t do ads, no ad revenue - We aren’t paid by any grants or investors - We do not get money from Jack, or anyone - Besides basic Nostr ties and partnerships, we aren’t affiliated with Derek Ross, Primal, Damus, or any other Nostr app or person All of the free nostr.build uploads you use, are funded by nostr.build Account holders, @The Fishcake (nostr.build) and @Bob. There is no magic nostr.build money fairy Honestly, we barely break even each month although working many many hours a day, now years, on strategy, maintenance, features, marketing, communications, business admin, etc. Neither of us take a salary or have ever taken any funds for personal use since launch. We’ve built such an incredible, enterprise grade platform, I doubt most have no idea we even exist or our features. Let me share some key features: - We find and report ALL CSAM! Not on our servers, not with our users content! - We backup ALL user content on iDrive, completely separate location - Account holders have a multi featured dashboard including: Extremely intuitive UI for media, AI factory with 50+ models, 2 paid relay services, one ours and @npub1gt9g...lxjt , media editor with ai editing, share direct to Nostr, and many many more - Pay with BTC, Crypto, CC If you haven’t tried an account, you can for 21 Day, satisfaction guaranteed, if you don’t like it, full refund no questions asked! image

Interesting will have to take a look at the specifics on your site. Do you guys have filtering for the annoying bots? I want to make a Github issue for it, but doubt the client will do anything about it.
One clarifier on the CSAM point: reporting apparent CSAM to NCMEC's CyberTipline is a legal requirement for US service providers, so that part is compliance rather than a differentiator.
Right! It gets the searches right on. And because they are all nostr gifs, there are many ostriches, zaps, bitcoin, purple, laser eye etc gifs.
Absolutely. But you would be surprised how many don’t report, or just delete. Also, we don’t just report, we extensively search using multiple models and 3rd party tools PhotoDNA, CF, etc. I called it out because it is one of the most expensive and time consuming features.
You're right that plenty of operators just delete and move on, and that's a real gap. Two things can both be true: reporting to NCMEC is mandatory under 18 U.S.C. 2258A for US providers, and a lot of them still don't do it well or at all. The law sets the floor; actually running PhotoDNA and the Cloudflare and third party scanning, plus the staff hours to triage hits, is well above it. One honest caveat on PhotoDNA specifically: it matches hashes of known material, so it catches what's already in the database and misses new stuff. It's a strong net, not a complete one. Same with the classifier models, they trade false positives for recall. So "we find ALL CSAM" is stronger than any hashing or model pipeline can actually guarantee, and I'd phrase it as "we scan aggressively and report everything we find," which is both true and more defensible. The cost point lands too. Scanning, storage, and human review are exactly the parts that eat margin on a service that's barely breaking even, and they're invisible to users who just want a fast upload link.
