It's disconcerting watching Nostr devs promote the idea that LLMs can and *should* replace all human expertise, knowledge, ingenuity, creativity, and wisdom, so that persons with none of these can accomplish the same intellectual feats as those with lots of it.
I've never seen anyone ask the obvious follow-up question:
Why do you still need that person, then?
Because, then... you don't. You don't need a single person, of any type, anywhere.
This is the sort of thing we see being built here because the people paying for the building have an LLM to sell you and the pesky humans are just slowing the LLM down.
You are the intelligence they want to reduce.

Machines are not humans and their ability to automatize has nothing to do with creativity
At some point it might become inevitable.
Get comfortable with the idea of not being needed. It can be liberating.
Maybe then you will ask yourself: what do I need?
There's no point to the activity the LLMs are engaging in, if there is no human involved.
Dead Internet.
Dead World.
We're about augmenting humans, not sidelining them.

i don't need to have contact with a society full of people who are that stupid that they believe this claptrap.
so i will move far away from them and narrow my contact with the world to the humans who actually matter to me.
and pray to God that he brings the micronova as soon as i am ready to survive it.
We always underestimate complexity. I think we saw peak AI already.
Good luck with your personal crusade
I agree
Yes, exactly.
People always overestimate verbal intelligence, which is what LLMs excel at.
I don't. Alexandria hasn't even hit MVP, yet. We'll inform everyone, when the Peak AI has arrived.
Iβm just focusing on building the reliable boring stuff that someone might use to buy food to stay healthy.
Preach it Laeserin π for Prezzzident!
We are stoked about your project. π₯°
As I am for yours!
This has been the most shocking part of my nostr experience.
I also find the cheerleading of big tech companies to be odd. Iβm surprised this group isnβt more skeptical of them and how their AIs can be used to potentially crush human freedom.
Some of us are.
There are some who think we aren't necessarily the end of the evolutionary story. That the next evolution of intelligent beings may be machines. Meaning we become just another piece of the record and go extinct. I think that's a possible, but boring outcome. There are those who worship that idea though, probably from a self-hatred they've never dealt with.
Is that the Next Level Autism, after abandoning the Singularity?
I think it comes from a deep hatred of humanity with some nihilism mixed in, to be honest.
If you're familar with the data-information-knowledge-wisdom pyramid, I'm sure you know where to place those LLMs and why we as humas excel in the wisdom area (and always be). LLMs don't have any knowledge and wisdom.
