Everything is traceable until it enters Monero.

You may agree or disagree, but the reality is this: mainstream analytics agencies can’t even measure the trading volume behind Monero on the dark markets.
Even with Monero’s current weaknesses regarding decoy selection failures, a few hops are enough to mitigate the problem.
With FCMP++, it’ll be on a whole other level.

Explain how you trace my Lightning txs and my Coinjoined txs
For small amounts, it’s feasible; for large amounts, CoinJoin doesn’t work. The latest hacking attacks have occurred via Wasabi and have been traced back to subsequent consolidations; this doesn’t happen with Monero.
The same is true for Lightning, which is unfeasible for large amounts.
Even for large amounts, other methods used by North Korea in cross-chain OTC black markets are better.
You don't know what you are talking about.
There's 2,600+ BTC of volume in the past 24H on @Kruw coordinator from @Wasabi Wallet ... that's $200M of volume being coinjoined in a single day. So it does work, and i use it everyday.
Lightning is not for very large amounts so i won't comment on that, but it's private for 99.9% of users who want to use it as their payment layer for everyday bills.
Newbies and privacy larpers would rather go with shitcoinery (Monero) route, than learn how to use Bitcoin and how it works.
This echos a thought I have yet to validate.
Let's say you have one kyc btc. If you buy xmr with it. Then convert back to btc...isn't that now no kyc btc. Of course you use a new wallet...
Or cashus
I use Wasabi, I use JoinMarket, and I use Monero. Generally, the ones who don't know what they're talking about are the “something-or-other” maximalists.
Awesome
Mate, I'm not going to learn how to use something privately when something can be built private from the start.
Like that's just silly.
Hmm that 2,600+BTC a lot eh . You need to break into small pieces and that alone can traceable
To be fair.. I haven't thoroughly studied either implementation.. but, a lot of this bitcoin love here, seems to just be because it was the original thing that started the revolution and people idolise this Satoshi guy.
OTC Black market , as such what ? Once that landed in place like Garantex or Huione guarantee , or hydra then it automatically recognized cause they already labels cluster .
I think Monero
Is the best exit .
OTC dealers on the black market accept tainted Bitcoin at a 10% discount.
I also think Monero is better for this situation, although we have to consider that, given the millions stolen, there isn't enough liquidity in Monero to cushion the price.
Yes not in one shot . Monero can handle except it’s very slow over period of time . And that slow alone can leave trace for huge amount .
Veo mucho cambio en tu mirada al mundo hace un año hermano
Just a quick question to absolutely destroy your argument:
- How would you even aquire & sell “large amounts” in Monero in the first place if barely any centralized exchanges support it, no OTC markets exist, and the (very few) p2p trades happening are in 3 digits $ range?
Get your facts straight, man, and stop talking nonsense.
KuCoin
Bitfinex
HTX
MEXC
WhiteBIT
Kraken
Poloniex
Using centralized kyc exchanges, amazing.
