Who knows if that is what will happens. I’d be interested to find out out if there are any historical examples of parallelism having success. In that it was essentially a silent revolution
The struggle for freeing information (the long process that eventually lead to the separation of church and state) was an example of such parallelism having success. But as you can see today, freedom of information and expression is again under attack. My takeaway is that you can’t have complete victory in the fight for freedom, you have temporary wins and loses, but from our modern perspective things have improved dramatically since the Middle Ages.

Powerful words. You have put into words a theory I had been brooding over but hadn't quite conceptualised.
We’re rediscovering on our own what Ayn Rand developed and described 70 years ago. It’s the basis for the plot of Atlas Shrugged.

I guess the internet \ code and encryption were other examples, although they are currently trying to reverse the progress in that front
