Also there is a risk of bitkey infrastructure blowing up, then how will you construct a transaction without xpub? Like the order or the derivation pathway might not match the software provider you are using.
How does one mitigate that?
yeah, i’m debating if this is a trade off i’m willing to make. it takes away any worry that my family wouldn’t be able to access the stack if something happens to me, which is nice. no seed words is probably something we are going to see more of from manufacturers. bitkey is 256, phone is 256, server is 512. it’s not a bad option if it fits your bitcoin philosophy. thanks for sharing mike! 🫡
my ai is cooking up quantum transactions. orders of magnitude better than our current system. i’ll submit some user feedback once i have llama2.1 do a thorough security audit.
That’s not true, they provide a disaster recovery backup that gets encrypted with the hardware devices key. You can print it, save it somewhere etc. and if they go out of business or you have no access to the apps for whatever reason you can sweep all your funds with this document on your own.

Everyone makes their own choices on what’s important. I agree, but I’m also aware it has its benefits by subcontracting some of the responsibilities to a company.
