Everyone, take a moment & look at this: Amethyst now has a proper Live section, a Reddit-like communities, and a Public Chat section. What a great milestone for Nostr! Kieran and Vitor are truly at the frontier of development, pushing boundaries at an unimaginable pace. What a legends! I have never been more bullish on Nostr. image

Amethyst censors a bunch of ppl using false reports, including me. So if a few major bitcoin accounts falsely report you as “malicious” or “harmful” content (which is what they did to me) then you’re censored for a lot of the network. Someone made a fork removing the censorship “features” but his censorship still persists.
The problem is determining who defines what’s “moderated” (censored). Nobody wants to be spammed, but most of the censorship on nostr so far has absolutely nothing to do with spam.
Someone even said I post illegal content which is 100% a lie. But the bitcoin zealots here will do whatever to censor ppl that question them.
Whoa. 100% a lie. And there’s nothing you can do about it? You’re just outcast in certain places?

That's not true. The feature was updated, its up to the user to decide if they want content filtered out if accounts they follow report it. This feature was updated shortly after onyx (tony) hit the market.
Yes its a great app just have one "big" problem maybe it will be solved soon i hope... because at this stage its a battery eater...
Afaik Graphene is only for Pixels, so it's only Google Tensor CPUs. I would choose Snapdragon to avoid any possible backdoors (if we talk about real sh**) 😏. Tho Graphene is focused on security and privacy. Never tried it. I have one offline phone on Lineage - works smoothly.
If you follow someone or turn the functionality off then it doesn't affect your experience. It's on by default though.
Some clients let you see the reports, and I think there’s a few browser tools too. There’s one that lets you see who has muted you too but I don’t recall who made it smh..
Mute event is different, and the spam filter is based on report events. I must mention that the filter is now optional but enabled by default on Amethyst & turned off by default on Onyx.
Yeah, I've not seen a web tool to get the actual reports though, only in amethyst. Can see who someone has reported in nostrudel.ninja and also see how many reports you've received in nostr.band (LOL mainvolume coming in strong with 61) but not the details.
I was in a thread with a BTC maxi related to him shitting on a monero group the OP created. He actually reported the post where the guy created the group. This wasn't a reply or anything. Disgusting.
There are 2 kinds of filters on Amethyst - web-of-trust filters: if 5 or more of your contacts have reported a post, that post will have a warning sign (that you can dismiss to see the post content) - de-dup spam filter: if someone posts notes with the same content repeatedly, the app blocks the user automatically. To find their notes, you'll have to go to their profile & follow them. Both these filters are on by default on Amethyst. If you go to Security Filters, you'll have the option to disable them
i had to click overview then scroll down, a lot, and you cant click the reports number to see more
i think amethyst filters are good but you should have options how the filtered content is displayed, like hidden, and minimized in a couple ways etc, the current show content is quite big @Vitor Pamplona
