Had a stroke. I'm very lucky it wasn't too bad. Still in hospital, please pray for me.

Holy shit! I had one (TIA) in October 2021. Happy to chat about my experience if it can help on any level. You are in my thoughts! π«
All the best for a quick recovery π
I will pray for you π hope you make a steadfast recovery
Definitely. The fall caused a dissection in my vestibular artery, and that caused first a stenosis, then a bit of scab from inside the vein broke off and blocked the artery. Some part of my brain stem died and I can't walk, but I'm working on relearning it now. I'm told I'm in the best hospital in Texas, and I believe it.
Thank you. It'll be straight to rehab sometime next week
I just turned 40. It's not as bad as it could've been. One doctor said every other patient he's seen with this was paralyzed. I can't walk - the part of the brain that controls walking died, and I find this strangely fascinating - but I'll relearn it. I'm counting this as another miracle.
Praying for your full recovery brother

Fast recovery.
Sending prayers for complete and rapid healing from northern AB Canada. ππ½β€οΈ
Of course.

It's crazy, the sort of freakish side effects that can plague people after injuries. π«
Thank you
I hope it'll be a short one <3
I think it will be. They're sending me there tomorrow, and I've been working on relearning how to walk already. I'm aiming for using a cane with a fly trapped in amber on it.
Damn, man. Sorry to hear it. Offering up a little prayer. π«
Rest up Orc. I hope youβre on the mend.
Thank you. I'm getting better. Slowly but surely
Iβm happy to hear that man.
