If Bitcoin is reliant on volunteer devs who aren’t incentivized beyond their own altruism doesn’t this mean Bitcoin as a network relies on trust? Trust that altruistic individuals will dedicate an appropriate enough of their energy to keep it working?
Love you brother stay strong and remember where we are headed - victory and freedom and abundance for everyone
bitcoin doesn't rely on altruism, it relies on game theory and incentives. we, the network, have an incentive to support developers maintaining the project because it is worth it to us for Bitcoin to live on forever

Jack, we need a way to contribute to developers and other actors within the space that doesn't depend on altruism at all. We need a way to invest capital, have that capital build a revenue stream, and then direct that revenue stream towards the devs and other causes we want to support. Bitcoin only has one revenue stream built in, and that's mining. And anything we do is going to be seen as a security because it's an investment of capital with the expectation of returns. So we just need to make it possible and get it rolling. Can we get you to strike the iron before it gets cold?
And some governments or interest groups can have the incentive fund developers contributing to the project in order to reach their goals. The takeover over Bitcoin it’s quite scary and maybe quite natural given the world we live in.

Bitcoin Core Devs, I'm nobody & have nothing right now, but I started a company (ABLiSS.space 🚧). The physics of Bitcoin is the literal key to fuelless flight, immortality, organically amplified intelligence, & more. The survival of our species is in your hands in so many ways. Thank you for your work. One day, I hope to say your sweat equity has a dividend. One day, I hope to facilitate more than a few vacation days. You are important. You are valuable & appreciated more than you know. Thank you. 🧡

This is exactly on point. The role of a functional society is to protect the innocent and valuable members of it. If we want bitcoin to be maintained, the bitcoin developers need to be protected.
i watched this whole interview and thought it was excellent. really good questions. I'm still getting my head around the idea of sending fiat and using lightning to do it
I can imagine this also can happen to Nostr devs in the future…when the impact of Nostr grows then more powerplay will occur from different sources / forces. What are the initiatives to unite and share defense tactics?

Bitcoin fall bellow 57k after the halving due to the high volatility, and because of lack of skills and strategy most of you folks sell off with out of fear in the space, I highly recommend you to join the (RCL) vip newsletter group for passive accumulation for longterm run, you can easily 174x your portfolio with the arbitrage algorithm integration. vip group: Source:
Bitcoins design was retarded. Look at the market manipulation that miners are doing now. It takes way too much power and time to process transactions At the block chain grows, it will take longer and more power.
