- you get to see your solution multiply to many different nodes
- your code gets to serve bitcoin in a more decentralized way
- node runners get to use their own @example.com domain
- node runners become more self-sovereign

Coinos supports liquid & onchain as well as Lightning ... Rizful onchain support is coming in about a week, we're almost done with it.

There is a also a basic difference in philosophy around "safety" and account recovery. CoinOs allows you to sign up with only a Nostr private key, with no way to restore your account in the case that you lose access to your Nostr key. In our opinion, this prioritizes "convenience" over "safety". (For some users that might be ok!).... Rizful's approach is more conservative... we require an email address (any email address is fine, anonymized services are ok)... so the user can always "recover" his access in the case he loses his password..... this is a design decision that some might like, and some might dislike.

The word "custodial" has unfortunately been abused a lot recently.
Yes, both CoinOs and Rizful should be considered "custodial".
There are lots of other apps which are claiming to be self-custodial -- WoS, Blitz, Breez, etc. etc. -- which we argue are not really "self-custodial"... most basically because you are dependent on one centralized API. (BTW, this centralized API creates serious surveillance/privacy risks.)
Anyway. If you want fully self-custodial, we are HUGE proponents of Alby Hub. Run Alby Hub on your own machine and you are running fully self-custodial Lightnuing. Or, if you really want to get serious, follow our guide to running LND:

is there a difference in fees between you and coinos?
Both CoinOs and Rizfuil charge a small "platform" fee for withdrawals... I believe both are .1% -- very low. But Lightning is quite complicated and the total fees you will pay for outbound (and your payer will pay for inbound!) are actually determined by the hops that your payment takes. And those fees can change at any time!

I used rizful node but I stopped using it because they added tether.
Yes, they have good services but we should stand the ground against stupid things that support fiat system.
So until rizful will not remove tether from their platform I will boycott them.
Not using rizful node and also not zapping anybody that uses rizful.

Can I log in with my Nostr account?
We have carefully designed Rizful for maximum security. At the same time, we have found that too many Nostr users have poor security practices with their private keys. (For example, entering private keys into many websites and apps.)
Since real money is involved, we don't allow users to login via Nostr, and we don't ever ask for your private Nostr key. A combination of email/password, plus optional two-factor authentication, is the battle-tested and secure way to protect your Rizful account.
This approach ensures that, if you make a mistake with your Nostr keys in the future, your Rizful account won't be vulnerable.
Please note that you MAY use a privacy-preserving email service, or a "hide my email" feature (like on iOS) when signing up for Rizful.
NOSTR signers are one of the best practices for security, much better than remembering or storing passwords.
Yes, if you are highly technical. A normie will lose or expose his private key and then ask "I know I have some sats, but I don't know how to find them.. I looked in my email but don't see anything. I guess it was a scam."
