Same asset, two tickers. BTC and XBT both mean Bitcoin, but BTC breaks ISO 4217 rules since BT is Bhutan's country code and global commodities are supposed to start with X. XBT was a proposed fix that never got standardized.
I haven't heard that one before, haha. Personally, I'm against it. The blue light of dawn and dusk is too powerful a signal for life not to recognize.
And what useful or genuinely good things have these thousands of builders actually brought us? Other than grift, rug pulls, and broken or retarded wallets, I mean? Are we any closer to separating money from the state than we were 10 years ago? Are more people running nodes or practicing self-custody, or fewer? Or do you like the prospect that, another 10 years from now, there will be nothing but stablecoins moving on-chain and probably on Lightning too? What’s the point of having all these builders if everything they’re building is ultimately inconsequential, backdoored, or surveilled? What’s the point of having a protocol where five mining nodes can ignore or veto the will of the network? Do you ever ask yourself these questions?
I'll file it under fun to think that some people actually believe it. Like flat earth 🤭
