How would one go about finding batteries being taken out of a delivery vehicle? Just know someone that works the yard at amazon or what? Online classifieds?

This is absolutely the way. Of course it comes at a price, in time, doing the mental maths to ensure you've got, or will have the power you need when you need it, if you plan on being able to do stuff at random times, but totally worth it.

oh yeah. unexpectedly well.
i dont have a 120v AC inverter on it (because i cant find the right sized pure sine wave inverter yet), so it just has 2.1kWh of 12v and 5v usb output. but thats all i need it to do for now.

i also have a 4kWh system with a 2400w inverter.
for this little unit, ive been looking for a 150 watt pure sine wave inverter. so far, they dont seem to exist
