I heard about em having some ATMs, but I thought all ATMs in this country need some KYC like they point a camera at you and you gotta supply name and phone?
It's a blight on Humanity, not just this industry. It's ineffective, inefficient, and creates LOTS of unnecessary risk.

KYC requires infinite invasiveness. All of that data used to be good enough, now the hackers have it so they need more invasive proof to KYC you next time. 23andme has already been hacked. Those selfie and drivers license companies will be next. Fingerprints, iris scans, realid, passports, and any thing else you can think of will all be public information. The next thing to replace all of that will be more privacy invading and more annoying. Then that will be leaked and become useless too. The pattern never ends until the concept of KYC is abandoned.
