I mined most of my bitcoin almost a decade before I had any interaction with its advocates online... Well, except one, who was anything but rude, but it was after I had started mining anyway that he wrote anything about Bitcoin.
But, to the point of the meme, and to turn it around, those who are rude aren't doing Bitcoin adoption, and thereby their own NGU, or its potential as freedom money, any service.
