I thought everyone was already doing this?

I want to set up a hydro nerdqaxe++ (consumes 60W) with a solar panel and just let it mine to kingdom come. How big a panel do I need? I'll get around 8 hours of sun where it's going.

No worries - my #nostr notification feed is very sketchy, I only seem to get them after having spent too much time in #primal already. I guess that's the price of #decentralization - there's no central all-knowing behemoth to provide an instant reliable feed. I still vote nostr! ;-)

Looks like a 1m2 solar panel exposed to 8h/day partial sunlight can keep a nerdqaxe running for about 4k Th/year, cost ~1k+ usd. That won't make anyone rich :-) that was just 20 minutes of exploration, I'm sure I can find a better plan.
